Nha Trang Bay covers an area of 507km2, the bay extends between Cay Cape to the north and Dong Ba Cape to the south. The rocky and indented coastline accounts for 103km, dividing the bay into 2 different parts: inland and island - thus contributing to a great biodiversity but also to the development of maritime activities: tourism, aquaculture and product processing and transportation.

Located in the middle-south of Vietnam, Nha Trang Bay has tropical climate in when it comes to dry season. The annual average temperature is 25 degrees. Thanks to diverse climate and topography, flora and fauna here are variety from 100 species of coral, algae; 200 rare species of fauna; protected islands like Hon Mun (sea swallows); mangroves, lagoons, beaches of sand.

There are about 400.000 people still living in Nha Trang Bay. They protect and maintain loads of cultural value such as Poh Nagar temple, Long Song Pagoda, Dien Khanh Citadel, Institut Pasteur and Institute of Oceanographic, alive traditions like collecting nests of swallows.
