War Remnants Museum - The Other Side Of The Story
War Remnants Museum is a must-see on a visit to Ho Chi Minh City and will really give you an insight into the tragedy of the Vietnam War.
Operated by the government, the museum was opened in September 1975 as "The House for Displaying War Crimes of American Imperialism and the Puppet Government”, focusing on exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. Many of the atrocities documented here were well publicized but rarely do Westerners get to hear the victims of US military action tell their own stories. Many preceding travelers have failed to hold their tears in front of the pictures here.
