Vietnam is a country with a diverse range of landscapes, cultures and ethnic groups, contained within its uniquely long and thin geography. Increasing foreign tourists flock flock to Vietnam to see the beautiful natural sceneries and ancient places that have survived the hands of time.

Vietnam is still not yet a country of tourism. But it is a culturally rich and diverse country counting numerous beautiful places with some of the world’s famous sites. To name a few, these UNESCO World Heritage Sites represent the common, symbolic importance of the cultural relevance of Vietnam.

Halong Bay (Quang Ninh)

The surreal karst formations of Halong Bay look like they should be on the cover of some science fiction or fantasy novel.

The site’s beauty is famous around the world. Gathering thousands of limestone outcrops jutting out of the serene water, Halong Bay is an iconic seascape of Vietnam that has drawn millions of cruisers every year. No wonder, cruising with relaxation and mesmerizing scenery on board a junk boat is a highlight of any trip to Vietnam.

Garden of Doctoral Steles - Temple of Literature (Hanoi)

Look simple but they carry huge historical meaning.

The Temple of Literature, an ancient complex that is both a temple and an academy, is one of the most famous attractions and places of history the city has to offer. The campus of the temple displays the 'Garden of Stele' where turtles carry steles with the names of successful students. The doctors' steles are a valuable historical resource for the study of culture, education and sculpture in Vietnam. The Temple of Literature is packed with symbols and details that are easy to miss, but if you look in the right places, they can make the experience more rewarding.

Trang An Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh)

Rowing through Trang An caves.

Situated in the south of the Red River delta, Trang An is a mixed property combining outstanding cultural and natural values with beautiful and awe-inspiring tower karst landscapes. This is also in the site of Hoa Lu, the old capital of Viet Nam in the 10th and 11th centuries, as well as temples, pagodas, paddy-field landscapes, with villages and sacred sites.

Complex of Hue Monuments (Hue)

Hue Citadel.

In the ccentral of Vietnam, Hue was once home to the Imperial City, the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty. Construction began in 1804; Hue was the power centre of Vietnam until 1945. With several buildings remaining along the Perfume River of the old Capital City, the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Inner City, Hue is the landmark of the imperial Vietnamese history, arts and architecture.

Hoi An Ancient Town (Quang Nam)

The charming and colorful ancient town of Hoi An.

Formerly a major port, Hoian ancient town boasts a grand architecture and beguiling riverside setting that benefits its well-preserved heritage. Though tourists seem to almost outnumber the locals in the town, Hoian has lost none of its traditional charm. Hoian is frozen in time. Hoi An is known for its great food, fun shopping, skilled tailors, friendly people and cosy atmosphere – all key characteristics that draw people to this picturesque town.

My Son Sanctuary (Quang Nam)

My Son is considered one of the most important Hindu temples in Southeast Asia.

My Son ruins is an ancient Cham city set in a small valley about 40km from Hoi An City. My Son is considered one of the most important Hindu temples in Southeast Asia. In fact, it was abandoned in jungles for centuries until being discovered by a French scientist in 1898. The earliest structures of the temple complex date back to the 4th century. Like so much in Vietnam, the site was extensively damaged due to carpet bombings by the American. Over time, the My Son Sanctuary has remained a mysterious appearance. Hindu gods still quietly occupy elaborately carved stone niches in the temples that survived.

Art of Don Ca Tai Tu Music and Song (Mekong Delta)

Visit an orchard in Mekong Delta, guest also have chance to listen to 'Don Ca Tai Tu' folk songs performed by local farmer-artists.

Culture, people and livelihoods can vary considerably from one part of the Mekong Delta to the other. Most interesting is taking in the lifestyles of local people, who may well invite you into their home for a visit or take you on a boat trip to enjoy some traditional music. The Southern folk music called Don Ca Tai Tu reflects the lifestyle of people in Mekong Delta and helps them express feelings and encourage them in hard life.
