Located off the western tip of Si Phan Don,  between the two islands of Don Xang and Don Khon and no more than 3km away from the Cambodian border is a raging set of rapids called Tat Somphamit, but referred to by just about everyone as Li Phi Falls. Li Phi means 'spirit trap' and locals believe the falls is a trap for bad spirits (of deceased people and animals) as they wash down the river. Tat Somphamit is one of the most impressive waterfalls in South-East Asia. Consisting of a number of cascades as opposed to one major waterfall, Tat Somphamit is a dramatic sight and is a must for waterfall-lovers.
