Sisowath Quay

Sisowath Quay is a historical riverside located along the junction of the Mekong and Tonle Sap River, parallel to Sisowath Boulevard.

Sisowath Quay is a striking boulevard, located along the intersection of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers, at the meeting point of almost all roads that lead to the city’s key highlights. The portion in front of the palace was used for watching boat races during the Water Festival.

Sisowath Quay is named in the honor of King Sisowath of Cambodia. The Quay features a blend of French-styled buildings and local Khmer-styled architecture, with tourist traps right next to locals going on with their lives, the walk along the vibrant Sisowath Quay was an enjoyable one.

Every morning, Sisowath Quay kicks off with a life affirming exercise session to the lively music. The Quay is a 3km strip filled with vendors, locals, tourists, expats, and a row of boutiques, bars, cafes, restaurants and luxury hotels. It’s either a great place to hang out or a chilling environment with great beer, excellent coffee and French baguettes on offer along the entire length.

Getting to Sisowath Quay is really convenient since you can combine your visit with the Royal Palace exploration. In Phnom Penh, you can get there by different means of transportation like tuk tuk, car, taxi, bus, bike and motorbike.
