Hanoi Airport (Noi Bai airport) is the second largest Airport in Vietnam with 40 airlines operating from this airport. There are around 26 km far away from Hanoi Center. There is some options to get to Hanoi Center from Hanoi Airport:

  • Airport Shuttle: You can choose between several shuttle buses which depart just outside of the arrival terminal. There are shuttle buses leaving every 30-45 minutes and most of them cost 40,000 VND ($1.80). The shuttle bus you take does not have to be the same as your airline.
  • Taxi/Grab: The taxi stand is right outside the arrival terminal. There are many taxi drivers at the airport trying to convince you use their service, however, most of them try to take the cheating money from tourists by over distance through fake meter. Make sure you choose reliable express companies to take.
  • Private car provided by BestPrice Travel: With private car from 20 USD, you will get a welcome man holding a placard with your name at the arrival gate, and he will be your driver. This way you can worry-free about scammer and frustration like in the hassle public bus as well as travel all the way to your hotel.

Hanoi is generally a safe city to explore, and serious crimes against tourists are extremely rare, but it's pertinent to exercise some caution. The are 3 best place to enjoy your stay in Hanoi:

  1. Old Quarter (Hoan Kiem): Being in the middle of all the action.
The Old Quarter is an area that is always busy as tourists and locals alike come here to sell goods and food. It’s ideal for travellers who want to be close to it all, want to enjoy the nightlife and have great authentic food around. This area has accommodation for all budgets. You will be free picked up and dropped off at your hotel if you join in almost tour start from Hanoi.
  2. Hanoi French Quarter
Nearby Old Quarter but the French Quarter is another different color of luxury, elegance and splendor. Just one time “touch” the local spirit of Hanoi and enjoy inspirational lifestyle here! This place is near Hanoi Old Quarter but less crowded and busy. If you want to stay near the city center then this is the right place for you.
  3. Tay Ho (Hanoi West Lake): Quiet accommodation and foodies.
Tay Ho is a popular expat area but also where a lot of visitors stay. The area is packed with restaurants and it is quieter with Buddhist temples and a few attractions in the area. Accommodation is not as common here as other areas and is more expensive."

Rochelle Stevens
Hello We are staying in Hanoi but would like to visit trang an. Do you have a half day option that would take us out and just do the boat tour and maybe stop for lunch? We are 2 adults and 2 children. Maybe we could do a private tour?
Response from BestPrice Travel
Dear Rochelle Stevens, We can arrange the Trang An tour for you but can not do it in half day. Because the transfer each way from Hanoi to Trang An take 2 hours (total transfer time is 4 hours). And others 2 hours seating on boat in Trang An. So we could arrange the Private tour to Trang An, Boat tour, lunch then back to Hanoi about 3 or 4 hours.
