I. Domestic Airline in Vietnam

Let’s see how air travelling has been developed in Vietnam generally in compare with many years ago.

Traveling now is much easier thanks to the development of the transportations, especially airplane. As we know, Vietnam has become the world's third-fastest growing market for international passengers in 2015, and the second-fastest for domestic passengers as IATA said; moreover new routes are constantly being expanded, making it more convenient for passengers to travel around. Due to its large size, wide range of geographic features, a north-to-south distance of 1,650 kilometers, all domestic flights are quite short. The longest flight which connects Hanoi and Phu Quoc Island takes just about 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The 02 main and biggest airports are Noi Bai (in Hanoi) and Tan Son Nhat (in Ho Chi Minh City) also serving 02 biggest cities in the country. From these airports travelers can easily go to other cities of Vietnam and surrounding countries within a few hours.

There are 03 major airlines in Vietnam:

  • Vietnam Airlines is the flag carrier and member of Sky Team
  • VietJet Air was the first privately owned, an International low-cost airline
  • JetStar Pacific, another low-cost airline, has served as part of JetStar Airway network which is an Australian low-cost airline.

To consult the range of prices of these airlines, you can see some popular Vietnam flights in our website.
