Overview

Linked by the mighty Mekong River, Vietnam and Cambodia abound with magnificent carved temples, lush landscapes, and cities where rich imperial and colonial legacies mingle. This wonderful 11 day tour is a double delight from start to finish. Plying the slow, swirling waters of the Mekong, The Jahan is the most romantic cruise on Mekong Delta River. Life aboard the Jahan will read much like a royal tale. It feels like you were taken back to a time when royals slept in whimsical abodes and awoke by the glow of the balmy sun – the mysteries of the day are yet to unfold.

Highlights

  • Set off on a river voyage aboard the elegant Jahan, pass by the Mekong’s tranquil villages, exhilarating river life and sun-hardened fishermen on their shift boats
  • Feel the metropolitan pulse of Ho Chi Minh City and experience its highlights: War Remnants Museum, Sai Gon China Town and the infamous underground system of Cu Chi Tunnels.
  • Explore breathtaking landscapes along the river and quaff the rustic life on the Mekong Delta with lively market of Cai Be
  • Visit Phnom Penh, once the Paris of the East. Despite its rapid development, it has retained a lot of its rustic charm and elegance. Be prepared to be heart wrenched by this stark reminder of the genocide that transpired during Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge regime.
  • Experience a true slice of Cambodian countryside, visit little known regions and ancient temples which predate the mighty Angkor temple complex. Witness the life of poor Cambodian living in floating villages along Tonle Sap lake area.

The cruise on The Jahan was just fabulous and, with only 12 people on board we had even better and more personal service! The events each day were great and the team onboard fantastic.
